Crochet A Day Sept 6

Today I got the neatest little box of treats in the mail.

My seester is SO much better at hats than I am.  Im presently wearing the most adorable little green bohemian beany, which she made.  In this picture you see everything from bows, coffee sleeves, flowers for wristlets, and other odds and ends.  My favorite are the washers she sent me.  I might make myself a necklace of those tonight.

Thank you Seester!

Crochet a Day Sept 5

I'm back from a lovely beach weekend and busy on a baby blanket, between working on the Roanoke Star afghan.  Here is a pattern given to me my Sandra, and its super easy. I'm using a cotton cord so that its durable and hypoalergenic for baby and momma.

CaD Sep 29 and 30

For my bestests birthday I designed a new style of peacock feather necklace and I FINALLY finished the tarheel afghan.

I started the tarhell blanket way back april/may. And, having someone who will truly appreciated it and use it, made Blair the perfect owner.

Crochet a day Sept 1

Tonight I fiddled with this need stitch from a friend's book. I might pull this, though. Its a time consuming pattern, and I dslike my color choices. Too 80s for me.

Crochet a day Sept 2

Lotz funeral home donated money for Roanoke Cochet club to create an art auction afghan. This is the pattern we're doing, to represent The Star City.  Its not going to be these colors though: we'll be making all the backgrounds w shades of blue and the stars are 4 different colors.

I'm super excited abt this pattern bc of its colors.  Kelly selected the colors and edited the design.  I'm sure you'll see lots more of these, soon.

CaD 8.31.11

My final Craft-A-Day is the Maid of Honor Necklace for a sweet friend, Elizabeth. Her quickly planned wedding is this weekend (what, 2 month? Lord knows I couldnt plan a wedding in 6 months!), and I designed this MoH necklace to match, but stand out, with the bridesmaids necklaces. Elizabeth had the bridesmaids necklaces already purchased, and I used one for matching/inspiration.
The pearls were a no-brainer, but I wanted the MoH to be different from the others, still having the darker pearls, sparkle, and satin. I feared was going to have to scrap the satin idea, because I could NOT find anything I LOVED. Until I found these adorable flowers, with the POP of sparkle. The MoH can wear the flowers on either side, either matching or not with the side of the rest of the party.

By far the easiest and prettiest of the 2 Craft-A-Day Augusts I've done. Congrats to Seester, Malissa, and Johanna who caught me not blogging and have/will receive free jewelry gifts!

Next month, September, will be a CROCHET a DAY month! I'm sure I'll do some kinda prizes, and since I Crochet daily, there won't be completed projects everyday, but fun stuff. I'm also hoping with a new cellie in mid September, my pictures will drastically improve. Cellie pictures are infinitely easier than camera ones.

Stay Tuned!
